I would be more inclined to use the Dension Gateway 500 or MoBridge System often mentioned here .

My freekin luck. according to both websites DENSION and MoBridge, Year 2008 E90 non iDrive Busines radio are not listed. 2009+ only.

If you have a most bus based system they should be OK.
There are some non most bus systems out there in the base system
I'm not sure of the details. But the device you pointed out is a most
bus device so it wouldn't work either.
Maybe you could identify your system and see if anybody else chimes
in or email dension they will reply back.

If you do a search for "gateway 500 " here
it looks like there are a few examples of non i drive installs in car going all the way back to 06 models. Since in the US the radio didn't change till
the late 09 and 2010 model year.

Thanks for your input CTUNA, I email GROM and they said it will work no problem. All i have to do is go to dealer to have the CD changer coded ON.
Then, run the optical cable from behind the head unit.

I will email Dension and Mobridge as well.

Just came across these Grom units and thinking of giving it a try!

Very well priced, especially since I only want the bluetooth streaming function and to change tracks via steering wheel.
