Just installed JB4....

So after a few headaches and breaking a clip here and there...I installed the tune. Thanks to Mike for his patience as I did harass him quite a bit.

I'm worried though because I've cleared codes through jb4 and car is still running a bit rough. Is this normal? Or am I being paranoid?

I've take a break from putting everything back together cuz it's raining.

I havent driven the car yet cuz it sounded funny right away at idle. I've cleared codes and restarted and same noise.

I have it set to map 1 right now. I'm completely stock. I'm gonna put the cowl back on and close everything up and go for a drive and c what happens. I rly don't like the noise it's making

If its not running right, take it out and have someone reinstall it properly and reuplaod firmware and map!

the N54 is known for its ticking noise. If you think it's loud take the engine cover off and listen to it :P

With the cowl off, etc, you get to hear all sorts of new noises!

Probably shows 0 because you're not boosting. you can enable Stealth mode

did you change any settings? such as boost on fuel.. that will cause gas to show 0 when your not boosting at all.. such as when you are parked or sitting at a light, which is probably when your noticing this.

When I hold the gas down the gas meter shows past half a tank and then comes back down to 0, do I have a boost leak?

I'm not sure i why would that indicate a boost leak.
empty -> 0psi
half a tank -> 10 psi
Full tank -> 20psi

Doesn't boost move up as you speed up especially at WOT? My boost is all over the place even at WOT

It doesn't keep moving up. It goes up to certain boost level then tapers down till you get to redline.

If you try a 3rd gear pull, you might see that needle be more stable. If you're on map1, you would see boost ramp up to ~13.5 and then taper down as RPMs climb.

If you read the sticky on the other forum you can see all the features you can access through your steering wheel. Pretty cool stuff

Lol smartasses I know there is no boost when I'm off gas. I'm saying when I have pedal down the boost gauge is all over the place.

I have the car running for now which was most important. I haven't dared do the firmware update lol that's for a sunnier day and I'll read the sticky. Power is fun as hell tho already noticed huge jumps in lower gears and I would know cuz I drive a tank of an E93 lol
