Running rich possibly?

Hey guys ...
I recently put some mods on my car and was curious if my car was running rich and if I would be able to find out through the cobb access port to see if my system is running rich. I currently have the helix fmic, cobb ap on stock map 1+fmic V4.0, & vanguard exhaust. I get a lot of afterback from the exhaust and occasional backfire here and there. I was told that the vanguard afterbacks are normal but ... still not sure. Also seems like I am expelling a lot of carbon out of the exhaust. The tips are pretty black on the lower, inner tips of the exhaust. Anyone have some info? Thanks in advance
