New limp mode for me (not HPFP)

So I was driving to work today and the transmission just felt like it opened up right after a couple of small weird shifts. The check engine light came on and i could push the gas to the floor and the engine would rev but would only accelerate very slowly, no power at all. Temp here is about 75F and my oil temp at the time was between 235-240 (230 seems to be my norm).

I don't know if my torque converter took a dump or what. When I pulled into work i shut the car off and turned it back on after a couple of minutes and the engine light cleared, but i didn't get a chance to drive it to check if it was shifting ok.

Did I overheat my transmission or something? SHould I take it in for warranty work?

p.s. I have a JB4 on map 5 with just a DCI and run 93 octane...should I just put the tune to map 0 or should I take it completely out if i take it to the dealer?

Thanks everyone.

Reading the code should be your next step. If you are under warranty, DEFINITELY take the tune out before you visit the dealer.

I've had a bad HPFP before and this is completely different feeling, it felt like the torque converter on the transmisison was just "opened". Called BMW and the service tech said to bring it in in the morning.

Should i take out my DCI too?

Take all your mods out. Not worth the risk
