N2O TMAP sensor for JB4!

Little update for JB4 owners who plan to run large turbos, or really anyone who wants a simple PNP adapter for the N2O 3.5 bar TMAP sensor.

Quote:
Finally got our N2O TMAP sensor in. By this point it's old news but the sensor goes up to 3.5 bar and is a direct swap for our 2.5 bar sensor. Perfect for large turbo guys. To install it all you need is a connector adapter so the OEM connector plugs in along with a simple JB4 firmware update.

For those interested we can sell you a PNP adapter for $25 so it's a direct plug in.

Well I know someone who has my RB's and a JB4 that wants to do this. Mentioned it to him last week about the N20 sensor, so do you need to customize his JB4 maps?

So just curious... but how does this benefit the RB guys? Can they just turn the boost up?

Yea you can now go past 21-22 psi. I'm guessing they can hold up to 25 psi before they start maxing out.

They can go north in the 5000-6000 range, however it seems even RBs are tapped at redline around 19-20 psi.

What sort of HP/TQ benefit?

It's worth a try. Crank them up in the mid range and taper off to about 19 psi at the top. They are size limited so I do agree I don't see them pushing much more than stock, but at least there is room to work with. Testing will be done soon enough.

I don't have RBs yet and no one has tested this yet. I'm sure whn the info becomes public we will all know.

Assuming the RB's are not already tapped out at 21 PSI, there will be increased performance when more boost is added. I'm sure Rob has done some flow testing on these, maybe he can chime in on how much more boost they can hold. Keep in mind, these are still TD04 housings, so you won't see the huge numbers of a large single.

Theoretically, the TD04 in the RBs can flow up to 550 whp. Considering we've seen right around 500 already there may be a little more we can get reliably.

That's the key, the stock housings, exhaust manifold, and the stock intake piping.

I'm extremely happy with RB's as is, if we can squeeze out another 25whp on meth + 93 pump I would be overjoyed.
