Jb4 meth!

My meth has started acting up. After I adjusted the additive suddenly things aren't right. Went to 40 from 30. The hijacked gauge used to move to the center, now it sweeps
All the way to the right and then promptly goes to
Zero.

Switched it back to 30
Via the steering controls. Or so I thought. Still not consistent.

What are your settings
For additive?

Does speedo 9
And tack
3 =30 additive?

Need a hand

Are you using the newest firmware? 9/3 should be 30 additive. Check out n54tech for the diagram I the steering wheel controls.

I had the same issue (not really an issue) when I upped my meth additive. I hooked up my laptop and changed the meth scale to 99 (I have the 02172012 firmware so I can use either 60 or 99)

What is your meth scale setting at? when mine was set to 60, it would shoot straight to the 300 degree mark. When it was set to 99, it would move just to the right of 210 degrees. You'll need to hook up your laptop with USB cable to adjust the scale to your liking if you can (and if your firmware allows for it)

My meth additive is set at 20, I get too much timing drop and regain according to my logs using 93 octane and 49%/50% meth/water mixture if I go above 20 for some odd reason despite new plugs.

Set it to 60 with additive at 30 still goes to 300+ and cuts off. Tried additive 20 still no luck. Thanks for the help. I may have to contact Terry to get this sorted. Worked perfectly with the old firmware.

I believe the Meth additive is only supposed to up the value of boost (EI. 30 = 3psi 20=2psi) and the Meth scale is just how it's scaled on your gauges (could be wrong though).

So if the scale is 60 and the additive is 30 it should fall in the center...theoretically

slightly above middle actually with a 60 scale. But I have the 02/17/2012 update which is the second to the latest. In the latest one, you need to set the meth scale to 60 (which should shoot to 300degrees when flowing properly)

Meth additive is the amount of extra PSI the JB4 will target when meth starts to flow.

Contacting BMS for support or advice should always be the first move.
