PROcede data log

Hi guys,

**UPDATE - Added data log of the new 3-13 Stage 3 6AT Aggressive Maps. See below post #18**

first time data logging tonight. I'm not really sure how to use the PROcede Datalogging software. I tried using it but didn't work for me.

I've attached the CSV file as well as the settings I have the PROcede set to (default)

I'm currently running the following...

PROcede REV 2.5 - 11-25 stage 3 aggressive maps 6AT
Stett CAI
Stett CP with forged DV
AR catless dp's
ETS 5 inch FMIC
Vanguard Catless exhaust

Can someone load this up and advise how it looks?

Much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have a funny feeling these aggressive maps do not work for your car like mine. Boost looks terrible. I would go back to the 7-11 maps and it's respective firmware and log again. My car every time I load up anything other than that map, my boost DC would go out the door and my boost would act erratic just like yours.

Mmmhmm that could be a possibility. Why does that happen though? Is it because of the upgrading to the latest BMW software?

Also, how do I check for any codes? Let's see if an under boost code is present.

I'd have to log again tonight when there's no one on the road. Lol too difficult to log in the day.

Thanks for the help Enrita. I was thinking the same when I looked at the CSV file, in the boost column. The numbers go fluctuate as depicted by the graph. I'll check got boost leak. I don't feel anything though. Car pulls hard up to that point.

Try increasing your Boost Control Gain by 5% interval, and replace Road Speed by Boost Control DC% to see better if it's a leak or simply not enough gain on the boost control loop.

Gotcha. Will do that.

Also, think updating to the latest 3-13 maps would change anything?

Log WGDC. It's possible you have a vacuum leak if your boost is tapering off that quickly at that RPM. Did you try the old maps to see if they work fine? Not sure what the monitor name is on procede though.

What you have is fine, but like I said, replace Road Speed by Boost Control DC (which is also named WGDC)

FWIW, I have yet to ever see an incompatibility between current Procede maps and any version of BMW software. FWIW, all our local test cars are running the latest BMW software- including mine. Barring the possibility of a bad firmware/map update, I'd say it is something hardware related.

I think it may be hardware related as well. What do I check for first?

OP log boost setpoint along with boost control DC. Almost seems like the map could have been altered with it raising boost mid pull. But boost issue is very likely... WGs, solenoids, leak, etc

Yup, going to do that tonight when there are hardly any cars on the road. Way to tough to do it during the day.

Throttle and Methanol flow would help as well. Assuming you have a PWM kit?

Bump. If someone can provide their input, that'll be great. Not sure how to read these logs. Thanks!

Boost in that particular run looks fine, it follows closely the Boost Control Set Point. The original log shown a weird boost curve, but you will have to reproduce it again with those logging parameters for further diagnosis.

The problem you have right now is that your Fuels Trim are maxed out at +34 (maximum of their authority range).

Increase your OL Fueling to 100% and try again.

Otherwise everything looks in check (AFR should looks better but will once you increase the OL Fueling).

Your log reformatted:

Thanks Kalud. I'll update the OL fueling and do another log.

I updated to the 3-13 maps and did this log. I'll try to reproduce the first log but i did the exact same thing i did in the 2nd log... only difference was the 11-25 aggressive maps vs 3-13 aggressive maps.

What does it mean if the fuel trims are maxed out at +34?
