How to turn climate control fan off?

Newbie here. 2012 e91. How do I turn the heat/ ac completely off? When I deactivate the "auto" button the system still runs. Is there not a way to turn it off completely? hopefully I am missing the obvious?

Turn the fan control all the way down and it shuts the heater/AC unit off

Keep pushing the fan speed down button until it is off.
