Anything axle back (section 3, aka mufflers only) should be compatible with the XI.
Only cat-back system that I know of for the XI is the AE system.

Also, ask yourself what kind of sound you would like. If you like loud and dont mind drone, go with a used Eisenmann (throw in catless DP's if you are feeling bold). Most people prefer BMW performance with DP's as it is quiet down low but loud when you get on it. Same applies to the AE system.

Post videos of whatever setup you go with!

BMW Performance Exhaust here. Install was fairly straight forward and sounds nice.

All I did was catless DPs and 3.5" Dimisa exhaust tips. Sounds good and looks good too. Quiet when I want it to be and loud enough when I get on it

This. Nothing is special about the xi for exhaust other than the downpipes. Its just a matter of e90 or e92.

this is NOT true. the transfer box gets in the way in most cases. many exhausts for the i have been proven to NOT FIT the XI. please research people before making an uneducated buy!

Hmm....that's interesting because when I was under my N54 last summer, it didn't appear to be routing around the transfer case....mostly because its on the other side of the vehicle.

To confirm, all axle back (muffler) systems do fit both the 335i/xi models. If your looking for a full cat back system there really are only a handful of choices. One of these systems that are popular and compaible with the xi models is the AE Performance exhaust system!

Did you guys also go with the AR catless DP? If so I would like to know if you could tell any improvement gains and how loud it is in the car? If someone has a video/sound of their AE Exhuast/AR catless DP I would sure love to hear it!!!

The thing with that though, guess where my car revs while cruising at 60mph. I know because my magnaflow setup drones there too. SUPER annoying.

yea, i read that it happens to other ppl too but it is pretty annoying. i always have to up / down shift jus to get out of that rpm range. i'm still happy with the setup overall so its ok
