Now THIS is an engine!

My brother is a mechanic for Delta and works on the engines. We are best friends, and he sent me this picture today of an MD-80 he's working on. Here is a photo of his bread and butter!

Look, if it could be done, I'd do it! I'd probably kill myself, but I'd go happy
Also, I just realized a type-o, it's an MD-88...slightly bigger then an MD-80...but massive none the less

Hmm - strapped on the back of my Zed.... The straights would be incredible, but I am trying to imaging what size brake rotors I would need to haul my speed back down when I get to the turns.....

Talk about stopping on a dime! Z4 - 200 mph to 0 in 0.5 seconds.

Could you imagine drag-racing somebody with that thing attached to the back of your Zed?

ward: That is correct: MD stands for McDonnell Douglas. This particular engine is a model JT8B218, MD's are made by Boeing. I love avianics. If I hadn't become involved in Public Safety, I'd be beside my brother no doubt!
