BMW xenon headlights
Hi all
Just signed up on here and wondering if you can help me, I have just bought a 116 M sport and it has the standard BMW headlights, was just wondering is there any way I can convert these into xenon angel eye headlights without having to put the headlight washer in? Thanks |

I see you're in the UK. Aren't headlight washers and auto-leveling a requirement with HIDs? Here in the U.S., neither is a requirement so retrofitting the OE HIDs is far more simple of a process, and less expensive.

What I understood is that Xenon is allowed if you fulfill this requirement:
2. Once fitted to the vehicle it must have headlamp cleaning and self-levelling (which can be for the headlamp or can be in the vehicle suspension - some expensive estate cars have "self-levelling suspension" and that is adequate). Also the dipped beam must stay on with the main beam. Thus a conversion will be a costly option... |

you need to do this a retrofit xenon kit, and thats all in all about 2k € only the parts, and about 1 day work. if you only want to have the angle eyes, i suggest you some depo headlights. i also take these for my car, and its only about 1/10 of the price of real xenon.
