Just picked up '07 e90 335i. Car does not have NAV. Can sat be retrofitted USING the sharkfin antenna?

This is a US car. I've read that the sharkfin, which it does have, may not actually have a SAT antenna inside? Is this true? If SAT antenna is installed, what does it look like. i.e. I have to pull back the trunk liner, but what does the antenna look like? Is it a standard sat connector?

Would appreciate pics of trunk end of SAT antenna.

On the ordering guide, listed as standard is option "693 Satellite Radio Prep". (http://www.e90post.com/goodiesforyou/2007orderguide.pdf ). Looks like the fin should have a sat antenna inside.
