Question Factory installed Sirius not working

I got the factory installed satellite radio and called Sirius to activate this service. For some reason no matter how many activation signals they send it's not activating. Is there anything I can do to try and reset the Satellite radio to get it to work? Channel 184 shows with a check mark next to the channel but when I click it the display for the channel on the nav screen shows blank and I get no audio.

Is my factory installed option broken - do they test this stuff???

Hmmmm...make sure the car is within line of sight of the satellite, maybe time of day or weather might be in play.

It took me about 20 minutes I think for mine to be activated, so I had to drive around endlessly while the updating takes place.

Worst case, just bring the car in for a checkup.

Did channel 184 work for you at first?

I tried everything - Sirius said channel 184 should be recieved even if the subscription isn't active. I think whoever built my car must have had too many beers the night before.. I have a service appointment next week so we'll see what happens..

Problem ended up being a bad Sirius reciever - they are replacing it now and reprograming it in.

I wonder if my 1 year free will transfer without much hassle.
