Cobb Stage 2+ Aggressive and 91 Oct?
I don't know if anyone was dumb enough to ask this yet, but what happens if i run stage 2 aggresive and only have 91 oct to pipe in...? are we talking about a catastrophic failure here, or....
I really want to most, but AZ stops at 91 oct... what do I do? |

Your car will hate you, your timing will take a dump and you might do damage if the ECU doesn't catch it fast enough. Either get a meth kit with small meth nozzle or get some octane booster.

I got to try the stage 2+ aggresive map for the first time today. I had about 9 gallons of 91 and put in 5.75 gallons of 100. What a difference though compared to the sport map. At 120 in 5th gear around 4.5k rpms, the car rockets off. I need to do some logs so I can compare them to the 91/e-85 blend I usually run with the sport map. Made my decision to get a meth kit that much easier

Tell me about it. I switched from a JB4 + meth kit to Cobb because I didn't want to mess with the meth. Now I'm not saying meth is the most difficult thing in the world, it was just my personal experience that I couldn't test it enough to get it working right. I don't regret switching at all, the Stage 2+FMIC sport map feels every bit as strong if not stronger - but just knowing there is one map higher makes it impossible to resist the urge.
If you absolutely don't want to do meth, mixing octane is really the only way to go. To me it's not the end of the world - I rarely even push it on the sport map. Only reason I would switch is when I know I'm going to the track/strip or for events like the airstrip shootout.
