golf tee vs. CANflap - different tone

anyone else noticed a difference?

i've had a BB in my flap line for the last year or two, cl dp, deep throaty sound with mild drone while cruising.

removed BB and tried CANflap through jb4 yesterday and today. flap open option is somewhere in between stock and golf tee. definitely not as loud as what i had with the vaccuum line plugged.

i drive 130 miles a day so i'm all too familiar with the sound of my car. i actually like the CANflap tone a little better, slightly quieter and less drone, but why is it? is CAN still modulating the flap?

it's hard to tell a difference between option 4 and 5, but with the line plugged there's no mistaking.

anyone else switch back and forth with time in the seat with both??

I actually feel it's the opposite....louder with the JB4 canflap.

so it's been a week, and i feel like after a few days of driving with the CANflap the sound has become equal with the golf tee mod sound i had before. i know this sounds crazy but the sound was not there the first day or two. CAnflap adaptation??

but now there's something wierd w/ my jb4 - menus/selections are off target in gauges. when i click into CAN, menu 0, my map 1 setting displays at 1300rpm, not 1000. all menus and selections are off - menus (mph) are understated, selections (rpm) are overstated.

anyone ever see this? waiting to hear back from terry. i reset (i believe) gauges, menu option 1, selection 5. didn't help.

It should be similar but I think CANflap does still close the valve under some circumstances.

1..placebo effect

2..the flapper does close sometimes even with can flap open with the jb4.

I prefer the line removed with either a golf tee or zip

jb4 has a delay, so its not open at initial startup, so if your're like me a put the windows down in the garage in the winter before starting so i can hear that sweet ass sound, then leave the golf tee mod in
