Cobb Stage 2 yet??

Just installed catless AA DPs last week. Wow the power increase is huge. I did get a CEL though. From what I read the Cobb will clear it if I run the stage 2. I am still currently running the stage 1 linear.

What are your thoughts on running stage 2 now that I have catless DP, AFE DCI and Exhaust? I am just trying to get rid of the CEL.

Also I live in CA and only have 91 Octane easily accessible.

Stage 2 is safe with downpipes. Stage 2 will get rid of CEL.

Visit www.cobbtuning.com for map modifications requirements.

if you read on their site the calibrations requirements in terms of hardware you will get a pretty good idea on which map you can run.

maybe thats what happened with my lights...once i went back to stg1 because i feel like there was more power there i started to throw codes for catalyst threshold 1 and 2...whatever that means.

I guess i have to run stg 2 then to not throw codes? but i dont like the linear throttle because i dont get that surge of boost like i do in stg1.

or am i throwing codes because my o2 sensors are bad now?

What are everyones favorite (non FMIC) stage 2 maps? 91 octane is okay for these maps?

if your running 91 octane then i would run stg2 drive or sport, i recommend sport if you want more power. if you can get 93 oct then aggressive is a must and believe me when you run an aggressive map you wont want to go back to sport

You can email Cobb and ask them for stock throttle maps for Stage 2. They don't have them on their website for some reason.

Read the codes off the access port.

sorry i cleared the codes...but it was 4 codes and said something about catalyst converter over threshold or something like that.

i read that stg 1 might throw codes but stg 2 doesnt not?

Stage 2 is done for aftermarket dps so it wont through 02 codes related to emissions.

Put it on stage 2 and see if codes come back.

So you're saying that you felt more surge with stage 1 than you do now with dp's?

no...i feel more surge with stg1 than with stg2. however the stg1 is stock throttle while stg2 is linear throttle...i guess that is what im feeling more.

you just end up getting full torque early in stg1 while everything is gradually increased in stg2 linear.
