E90 Resonater delete

So I want to swap out my resonater for an x pipe to get a little more sound out of my exhaust. I've seen this thread where apparently mr 5 used a magnaflow x pipe.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=607248

My question is I think I found the x pipe here:

http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/...oductId=759589

But it looks like in the mr 5 thread that he had to cut off a few inche's to get it to fit.

Has anyone used that magnaflow x pipe before, and does it need to be cut to fit? Is this my best option? Would a muffler shop be able to make an x pipe for same cost or cheaper? thanks

You nees to cut out the resonator and cheapest thing is to buy an xpipe or mhbe fin an old e92 exhaust and take that one?
Making one will probably cost more.

Yeah Ive been looking in the fs section for a used e92 exhaust, but I doubt most people would be willing to sell me just the x pipe since they would have to cut it out.

I'll take your resonators when you cut them out. Just leave me enough pipe to weld them back on.

Not sure I was planning on selling the resonater, but if I do ill let u know. You just want a quieter ride? Do you still have the stock x pipe? Maybe we could trade?

If your going to replace your secondary cats with resonators I think you should look into the Vibrant ones. I think they are called the bullets if im not mistaken. Completely takes all the rasp the car has and sounds incredible when your jut cruising but sounds wicked when you step on it.

Okay, so I finnaly took the car in to the muffler shop and had them take a look under the car to see if that magnaflow x pipe will work. Turns out you do have to cut the x pipe like Mr.5 did due to the passanger side muffler. Anyways I ordered the x pipe yesterday and should have it installed early next week. Will report back with some before and after vids and will take pics under the car so you can see what needs to be done.
