Just had one installed on Saturday. They call it the "smart cord", which I think was $39.95. I just looked at my invoice, and because my labor was a bit more then they thought, they didn't even charge me for it. It comes with a remote mute button, but I didn't want it to show so they hid it behind the dash. They originally quoted me $39.95 to install, but it was a bit more since they had to go into the center consoul into the cig lighter fuse.

Oh, I got mine done at Car Toys.

Any RJ11 phone cable with two middle wires (green & red) will work. Just found the right polarity and a good ground.

I just bought the smart cord without the fancy remote mute button thing. I got it at radarbusters.com because thats where i bought my detector. U can probably get it elsewhere although the best place would be the escort website. And about installation it is very easy and u can easily do it yourself
