Thumbs down HPFP Recall Failure- Gas Leak

So I took my BMW in for a service engine soon light and had the HPFP replaced on recall.

I start driving the car home and begin to smell an intense gasoline odor.

Next day I drive it back to the dealership telling them the issue. They check the car and low and behold, there is a stainless steel fitting that is pressed into the fuel pump on the low pressure side that was defective from the factory and LEAKING fuel on the floor.

Imagine if it would have set my car on fire? Jesus.

I think I own the title for the quickest recall to fail, 100ft from BMW service shop.

I WIN!
