Warm water and soap to lube it up may help ease the install. It'll dry right up once your done and the car warms up.

Would buying some crazy lube from an auto store work instead of warm water and soap? haha the install video makes it seem too easy... Also is the plastic piece in the middle really necessary or can I just remove it(cut it out)..?

I just recently did my HPF quick disconnect FMIC install,
I didnt really have an issue with my couplers, but I had a friend help me hold up the intercooler while I hooked up the passenger side FIRST. As for the plastic shroud, I cut almost all of mine out, and if your try to leave some it will most likely look like crap |
