PWM Meth/Washer Nozzles Won't Flow
So I've been getting some snow lately and the roads are extremely wet/dirty now. Today I was finally forced to use my washer nozzles with my meth installed. They sort've worked at first and then lost pressure. Now they only squirt about 3 inches and now my meth injection doesnt work at all either. I just topped off my tank this morning and I just manually triggered the pump and it's still functioning properly. Also, when I tried the washers with my hood open, I noticed it started to drip near the tank (without enough fluid on the windshield to be draining near that spot).
Here is my thought: The tank is pressurizing and forcing fluid past the tank overflow near my fender. Could my filter already be plugged? If so, how does that explain why my washer's don't flow. I also inspected the checkvalve for the washer nozzles and the arrow is in the direction of the nozzles like in Vishnu's install pictures. I installed this on December 14 and probably gone through 2-3 tanks without any issues at all. Any thoughts? |

Sounds like the filter might be clogged. If you cant prime the washer line then the meth pump wont be able to grab the meth out the washer line. If that makes sense?

I found the problem. The hardline that is pushed into the softline at the tee pushed out from the pressure of the washer nozzles. Apparently the 1 zip tie provided wasn't enough. I didn't have a hose clamp on me, so I used one small and two larger zip ties for now. If anyone regularly uses their washer nozzles with meth, I highly recommend something stronger than a zip tie at this location. If not, this will not be a problem at all because it is in vacuum during meth injection

Yeah, I only use it to get a layer of frost off the windshield in the super cold mornings. 50/50 meth melts ice with only a tiny shot! I think I've hit it 3 times since putting the PWM meth kit in. But good to know, I'll check mine now to prevent any problems down the road.
I have a microfiber rag and a can of spray glass cleaner in case I get salt or cruddy spray on the windshield. That and 2 coats of Rain-X done once a month works wonders.
