I got quoted by many, differnet prices from all. But my case is differnet as they all included shipping internationally. Safest bets are AR design and Jeff @ topgear.

At OP, as Themyst said, most vendors will price match.

Don't always think of "cheapest", also consider service, support and knowledgebase. Jeff at Top Gear Solutions is all over this forum and chimes in with help all the time. That's where I would go first.

Threads like this make me want to puke! Where the hell are we? ...an open market in Afghanistan? Vendors not posting official prices make me feel like I am being ripped off, every time I buy something. There is always the thought of: "What if someone else sells it cheaper?" It totally destroys the trust in honesty and fair prices.

The reason you have to "negotiate" or ask for a better price is because manufacturers often set price caps that the product distributor cannot go below. However, there are ways to negotiate a better price on an individual basis. It's just that the distributor cannot advertise that lower price.
If you are a loyal customer, you can usually get a better price than advertised. Just don't try to bottom-feed everything you buy. I have better luck with establishing a good relationship with a parts house that will give me support if there is a problem with a product, rather than buying from a dozen different vendors just to save a few more percent.

i pm all the places i would consider doing business with....and go with the lowest price. i've done that for almost everything on my car....and haven't been let down yet.
but i agree with JamesM3M5 statement above...Jeff at TGS not only has competitive prices...but is also a great asset to these forums with his knowledge and feedback on products. |

Honestly, and the vendors probably don't want to hear this, but buying a used AP is really the way to go. The AP isn't a wear item like an exhaust or suspension - used or new, it does the exact same thing and performs the exact same way and Cobb provides the exact same support.
My 2 cents, but buy new if it's peace of mind for you. |
