I should also say I have a second phone paired with the car. Possible to pair both?

you can't pair 2 phones at the same time. 1 or the other at any given time works.

why did i just watch the video of you washing your car? why did you wash your wheels first then the car rest? water flows downhill and with it, it will bring all the dirt down to your just washed wheels?

anyways, yes, you can pair both phones, however you can only use one phone at a time. So it will prioritize the phone that's on top of the list to use over the one below.

^^ you should wash wheels first unless you want to save the biggest PITA for last. I prefer to get it out of the way.

/sorry for the OT, but it needed a response

You should wash your wheels first so that the rest of the car doesn't get spots on it while you are on your hands and knees scrubbing the crap out of your rims.

Yes 8700c pairs with it nicely. I do it all the time. However I got a chuckle out of it when I was with my CA and I pulled out my blackberry and he said "well you know it won't do all the functions of the blackberry." Ohhh, I thought I could send, receive and write emails with this stupid little knob! No I never thought it could but it works pretty nicely as a phone.

LOL - I have people ask me all the time whether I can get e-mail with iDrive. It's so cool, I guess they figure it should be able to do it.

FWIW, I use a BB via BT, too, and it works great. I don't think mine is an 8700c, though. Maybe try updating your BB software -- mine didn't have the phone book when I first picked up my car a year ago. Updating the BB software made it transfer perfectly, and it's been outstanding since then. From now on, every car I get will have BT.

I have had NO luck with my Verizon 8703e *sigh*... My other phones pair very easily and immediately. When pairing the 8703e, it fails. I will continue and will update this thread if I am successful with the 8703e
