Call Waiting and Blue Tooth

Does anyone know if there is something you need to turn on to enable the ability to answer call waiting while linked up via bluetooth and the car??? Can't quite seem to figure it out...

Just set it up with your phone and it should work. It depends on the carrier and also your phones. Usually it just kicks the person that is on-hold off.

+1 and does yours disconnect/drop the first call after you can't answer answer the 2nd?

Bad enough not being able to answer the call waiting but dropping the first call too... arghhh!!!

Same here. I always kick off the 1st caller as it never puts them on hold.

When I hear call waiting beep I tell the person I am talking to they will be kicked because I know that is what is going to happen. Usually they hang up and I get the 2nd call. If anyone know if there is a fix please let us know

Seems like this is a problem in the actual Bluetooth specification - you have to deal with call waiting from the phone and just use the BMW like a $50k BT headset.

This is a problem with iDrive. If you get the update this is supposed to be fixed. BTW - This alone is a legit reason to get the update but just expect it to take a least a full day for them to update the car.

so what is there to update or fix for a pooor person with a regular 328i without idrive?

Are you sure the update fixes this problem? I have a 328i that is 9 days old and I don't know what version of Progman I have. How do I check?
