The Z4 wave... Or is there?

If you see another Z4 on the road do you greet them? Or do you just pop a cool look and pretend they're not there? So what's the protocol with Z4 owners?

I'll do a quick glance. If they give me the time of day, then I smile and give them a head nod. If they start waving, I'll wave back. I don't spend too much time looking at them, though, as driving is my primary concern. I've only ever been snobbed once by a fellow Zedder.

When i first started driving BMWs in the late 80s, the protocol was a flash of the high beams. In the DC area i may see a Z4 once a week at best and most folks kinda zip around in their Z4 so it can be difficult to catch them. If i make eye contact i will usually smile (only applies to women drivers)

Not many around here, but if I get eye contact I'll give them a wave.

There aren't that many around here...but I had one encounter where a guy was giving me props and the light turned green...needless to say that was the end of the conversation.

Most Z4s around here are driven by old ladies...kinda like fire

As a prior MINI owner, I try to wave as much as I can to other Z-4 owners. Problem is that these cars are really hard to see at any distance if they are heading in the oposite direction (low and fast). I have been snobbed a few times by others, but hey, it is all good.

Fire, I've never met this guy before in my life. I have no clue how he got here. But I have no problem with old ladies driving Z4's.

In London (Ontario) people do not make eye contact. A lot of old women Z4 drivers here too - they are like ice.

No need because she do a damn fine job herself...
Just be sure to duck when the first shot comes across the bow.

Don't see too many Zed's around, but when I do, I usually act cool and pretend I don't notice them.

I did drive up to Steve75's house the other day when I saw his new white, 2006 Z4 3.0i in his driveway. Met him for the first time. Sweet ride, nice guy.

I drove right up beside a bright yellow 2002 on the highway the other day and we waved to each other.

I used to do the fellow BMW driver wave religiously, but i've found as time goes on less and less people wave back, let alone even understand why I'm waving at them. Sometimes people are eevn so arrogant then won't even look at me to acknowledge my existence. At this point if you can't beat them, join em, so I just drive as if I don't know what a BMW is. The only time I look at other BMW drivers is if their are any modifications on their car, that way I know they probably give a damn about the marque, the heritage and comradery..

I think the nod is a universal acknowledgement...more people point and talk about the M's than nod however...

I'll certainly wave if I see one, but since I got mine that's only been once or twice while driving.

Gee, boyz, what's up with the roasting of fire-n-ice? I think she's the only female Zed member on this forum. I wouldn't like this forum to be just a big 'ol sausage fest, now...
Sure... she loves to seduce us before she slits our throats for the next victim, but I definitely bow down to someone who can out-drink most of us here.

I can't wait for her response. She's gonna hang y'all out to dry!

Y'know, most days I never get a chance to see another Zed. There's always a ton of Boxsters, 350Zs, S2000s, MX5s, etc. out there. I actually get a lot of thumbs ups and waves from people driving regular cars. I got an enthusiastic thumbs up from a biker tonight as I was driving home from work. Felt good the respect I got.

I see mostly male drivers in Z4s, only a couple of women drivers since I started noticing.

*ahem...clearing throat*...now boys, do y'all not know how much I love y'all and understand the difficulties you face as men in today's society? Remember, I work with a bunch of men. There's not much you can do to dis-sway me from loving all of you.

Believe me, I understand.

Dammmittt!!! is just i-humping me, and I think it's cute . Even as much hell as Enfield has given me, he's still just a man! I drive big, bad Engines, work pumps, work medical emergency's and drive a neat Crown Vic with blue lights...please, I've heard it all lol!

Inside, truth be told, I think most good men are big 'ol teddy bears inside that just want to be petted and loved , even if they never admit it.

...Except for mean 'ol lying no-good bastard boyfriends like Rick, and deserting men like Bluesie ...sigh, where ARE all the good men???
