My exhaust...

sucks and sounds horrible. When I pull off from a stop sign or red light, etc. it really rattles obnoxiously. I don't know enough about exhausts to write a paragraph on it so I'd like to know some things...

1) Can I replace the entire thing to get rid of that awful rattling?
2) Do I have to replace the entire thing or would getting an aftermarket fix it?
3) What about the performance exhaust BMW offers for sale? Would that kill the problem?
4) I've done the vacuum line mod, but I didn't really think it made it stop. I took it to an exhaust shop that I've used for many years, and that I fully trust, and the guy said it was the waste gate thing. I asked him if he could build me a new exhaust and he said he could build me anything I wanted. Is that a legitimate option?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

If its your wastegates rattling, there is nothing a exhaust would do to cure that noise...The only solution is a actuator replacement which usually coincides with replacing the turbo.
