Get Alarm for Software Update?
If I get the OEM alarm installed, will they upgrade my progman in its entirety or is only a portion updated when you get an alarm?

i usually get a warranty line added for update software when i do the retrofit... the tech's that dont do that are pretty much giving away a free hour they could of made while doing something else...

They say they can not update just one subsystem so the entire car gets updated. Also if you print out the PDF that's posted in the DIY the BMW instructions tell the dealer to warranty the time on the PROGMAN machine.
