Original Link doesn't work... goto:
https://www.wilhelmy-it.de/ -> North America -> Online Shop -> BMW Quote:
In the end it looks like your trading keyless entry for putting the top up/down while the vehicle is moving. Hardly what I consider a "killer" mod. BTW, putting the top up/down while the vehicle is moving is a violation of the law and could easily damage the roof if you hit a speedbump or something. Regardless, I have definitely bookmarked this page as they could possible have some other cool mod's for the car. -Brett

Agreed the price is not that cheap but comfort access was not available when I ordered my car and I was kinda pissed that I did not get it.
Installation look like a piece of cake and a friend of mine who got this mod for their porsche 911 said it works like a charm. Yeah you really have to watch out where you open and close the thing. As for distance apparently it will open and close the roof the same distance you can open and close you doors! I will post once I have installed this thing. |

Cool, keep us updated.
Installation looks pretty easy, certainly no harder than Procede for example.

Not sure but I beleive that it should be okay since you can disable or enable all the functions. So if you have comfort access you can disable the opening or closing of roof from the key fob or disable the comfort trunk opening and enable everything else.
I would e-mail these guys just to be certain. They are very good for support. |

i thought all those things should of hapened anyway? there's no "comfort acess" on my e46 and it does these things (except for moving up to 40kms/h with teh roof moving, it's really only about 20 in my car)

e46 != e93... the e93 roof stops as soon as the car moves, among other programmed deficiencies to protect BMW from lawsuit-happy idiots...

I would never get CA, it's not secure. Hackers have been known to use a laptop with a transceiver to unlock your doors and start the engine if you have CA all without the key. Sure there is some security built in but its weak and not immune from being hacked. IMO sooner or later this will become a huge problem and you would have to take it to the dealer to get your system updated or changed out. If you are buying a new car I wouldn't trust it.
