New suspension for MDORPHN
Finally pulled the trigger and ordered JRZ RS1 shocks from James Clay at Bimmerworld.
Will likely go with a relatively "soft " set of Hyperco or Swift springs around 400 front and 650 or so rear. Although car will spend 25-30 days on track next year (including the week-long One Lap of America), it's still a daily driver. Haven't yet figured out spring lengths and will likely do so with boys at RRT (in Dulles, VA) with whom I'll be doing the install. Likely 7" or 8" in front and 9" or 10" in rear. Will only be looking to drop car perhaps 3/4" - 1" from stock height. Also Vorshlag camber plates and, if needed (depending on drop), Turner Motorsports adjustable sway bar end links. Already looking forward to my first track event in 2012! Happy Thanksgiving to all. Neil |

I have the JRZ rs1 on my 1M and all i can say they are awesome. My Jrz are equipped with Eibach springs. The comfort is perfect. And when adjusted to hard it s perfect on track.

Congrats! It's great to see JRZ expanding their offering with the RS line.
I spoke with James several months ago and he told me to sit tight for awhile since he heard through the grapevine that JRZ will be adding a more affordable and simple damper. I am thinking about upgrading to JRZ RS1 dampers on my E46 M3, but I'll be waiting until after winter subsides. Keep us posted on which springs and setup you go with!

I plan on pulling the trigger on RS1 dampers as well from James@BW.
Where did you pick up your Vorshlag plates at? I am torn between those and the GC Street for my E46 M3.

Correction for RS on performance based issues, not reliability.

Inasmuch as the RS1 has not yet been released, how can you have assessed "service and reliability issues" related to them? Generally I find your posts extremely useful and generous, but this strikes me as borderline innuendo. Neil |
