adaptive M suspension and aftermarket springs

hi just wondering if there will be an affect to the adatptive suspension with lets say eibach or h&r springs? I need a lower drop but dont want to waste the adaptive suspension option. Would it be totally wasted if i put on coilovers?

Whats my best option if i just need it lower and still retain that so called adaptiveness

Get eibach springs + a sophisticated alignment and you will be fine.
Putting a/m springs on will make the ''adaptiveness'' appear more distinct, you won't have any issues at all whatsoever.

Regarding coilovers the kw variant offers a module to deactivate the factory damping management computer at no cost.

Just get the eibachs and you are good to go. You could later add a set of h&r antiroll bars in case you experience further understeer.

According to Dieter, who races Z4s on the Ring, and has tested several dozen E89s, the springs are the way to go. Sway bars also help, and will give the car a "Go Kart" feel, but due to the adaptive suspension being differently tuned between the models the improvement is most noticable on the smaller models, and must less noticable in the 35i/is. Sorry for the late reply....
