I had that symptom from a failing hpfp. I drove to my dealer but it was only 2 miles away. G/L

You're probably okay to drive over there. It might go away after restarting too.

Does your warranty cover towing?

I'd also try restarting it a couple of times to see whether the problem goes away long enough to get it to the dealer.

I'm going to guess it's either you iginition coils or injectors. A hpfp failure would have bene followed by a reduced engine power message. If it's just lumpy or the rpm is swinging up and down by about 1000 rpm, I'm guessing either of those two things I mentioned above.

You might be able to turn off the car and turn it back on and it might "correct" itself long enough to drive to the dealer but I'll guess that if it's either of those two porblems, it would have stored a code for the dealer to review.
