Cost of Sirius Retrofit for pre-wried E90
For those who have had the Sirius retrofit, was the total cost for dealer purchase of radio and install in the US. How many hours of labor (everyone wants 4 paid hours in my area of Canada at $140/hr). Labor cost of any pre-retrofit vehicle software updates are not covered by factory warranty in Canada.
In my area of Canada, the dealers want $1200-1460 in my pre-wired 2008 335i with Nav. Unbelievable, given the low cost of Sirius if you order at purchase (only pre-wire was avail. in 2008). I could buy a Fiesta or any other cheap new car optioned with Sirius for a small fraction of $1460. Is it this much in the US to retrofit a Nav equipped, prewired E90? Not to complain, but this price is absurd. |
