For those who have had the Sirius retrofit, was the total cost for dealer purchase of radio and install in the US. How many hours of labor (everyone wants 4 paid hours in my area of Canada at $140/hr). Labor cost of any pre-retrofit vehicle software updates are not covered by factory warranty in Canada.

In my area of Canada, the dealers want $1200-1460 in my pre-wired 2008 335i with Nav. Unbelievable, given the low cost of Sirius if you order at purchase (only pre-wire was avail. in 2008).

I could buy a Fiesta or any other cheap new car optioned with Sirius for a small fraction of $1460. Is it this much in the US to retrofit a Nav equipped, prewired E90? Not to complain, but this price is absurd.

I paid $700 for the tuner installed and the radio coded.
