Help on wheels fitment
Hello everyone, apologies if this question had been asked before. I have a 2008 pre-lci 335xi 4dr sedan (non sport, completely stock)
I am looking to buy a set of used wheels from a fellow forum member driving a 335i coupe (non x-drive), and here are the specs: 20"x9" front, 20"x10.5" rear, offset not disclosed. 245/30zr20 tires at the front, 285/25zr20 tires at the rear The seller told me that he did not lower his 335i coupe, no spacers, no fender rolling and experience no rubbing what so ever. Just like all the X drives experts on this forum to chim in on this, whether the wheels fitment are too aggressive and any future concern if I have plans to get coilovers next spring. Thanks very much Deric |

I have a 2011 328 xi with the exact setup and with at 35 offset (Very aggressive) all around it's good.... will need to roll the rear fenders if you decide to drop it though

Thanks for the advice. I have spoken to the wheels manufacturer of those wheels, he said that the recommended size for our X drive cars for those particular wheels are 20x8.5 and 20x10 rear
But he also said that the rear should be fine with 10.5 unless you have three big guys sitting at the back. but 20x9 for the front is a bit too wide and will rub the front wheel well and fender a little when you make a full turn in steering. He suggested if I should go with the 20x9 front and 20x10.5 rear set up then I will need to roll the front fenders and go down a size in tires i.e. 235 front and 275 rear VS 245 front and 285 rear to avoid rubbing. |

its not much difference from the 17' with RFT....... but a lot more road noise and with the 25 series tires in the rear you have to watch out for the pot holes....but they look sick even without lowering the car.....
