Hooking up my ipod?

Ok so I bought my E92 used, it came with a cradle for a blackberry and an auxiliary cord(basic one that goes into the headphone jack).
My question is can I buy an iPod cradle and control my iPod through the idrive? Will I need coding? Just fill me in on what I need to make this work.

Depends on the ipod that you have. You will need the y cable and a new cradle. Software update may be required on both devices.
