New owner here!
Not sure if this is the right forum...however, I just got myself an 2008 e90 sparkling graphite (auto) with sport package, performance package, and comfort access. I had a 2006 Mitsu Evolution IX that was tuned on 25psi with the basic bolt-ons such as TBE, intake, FMIC, and suspension stuff such as Ohlins coilovers...
So I am here today to introduce myself!! I used to frequent evolutionm but now I have to go to BMW forums now!! I do miss the power of the evo, I miss the lag lag lag then power! However, I do not miss the harshness of the ride since it was my DD. I know in no time I will have the e90 up to the level I had the evo to or even more. It takes a lot of work to get in the 400 whp/tq with the Evo safely. To get in the 400/400 (mustang dyno) with the Evo I would have needed meth and 27-30psi with the stock turbo. To get over that power I would have needed an FP red/black but then you worry about the stock botten end. The stock botten end will not take 400ft-tq for a long period of time!! With that being said what is the stock limits of the stock block? Soon enough with my car currently I will get JB4, DCI, downpipe, and maybe exhaust...I want to keep the car subtle unlike the Evo where everyone knows that it is "fast!" |

Welcome!
As listed on the post below, which is a fantastic listing of N54 tuning options, the highest PSI listed is 20. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374508

I hope I won't miss the evo soon! That thing had enough power to light up all 4 tires. If it's cold out (below 60) you damn sure I could spin them tires on a roll too not even from a stop! But enough talking about the power that thing had.....
I do look forward to modding the e90. I like that it has both, performance and luxury! |
