Flying debris? No thanks especially not after my through and costly detail. Is this overkill? Lol. What are you guys in Jersey and NY doing about this (those without garages you lucky bastards)!
I surveyed the area and it seems to be the best position for my car. Narrow driveway in between my house and the next. No trees nearby except for my garden that has a small tree about 20-25 ft away. Let's hope for the best. By the way that's my wife's car behind me she doesn't give a crap about hers even after I offered to buy a car cover. |

Ugh, after surviving Hurricane Katrina 6 years ago. I know what you guys are going through. All the preparation panic. Good luck.. Worse thing is the flooding worries.

That's not really OCD. OCD is building a framed and reinforced plywood shed for your car.
Maybe you can go all out and make your own garage while your at it. lol Guy with the bike. |

You got the $215 BMW car cover? I could not justify spending that kind of money on one. Now one thing I can worry about is if this is scratching my paint. The worry never ends. Lol

It's great cause its indoor/outdoor and safe on the paint. It really is quite soft. It also has a bunch of layers that help with keeping humidity out and stuff. |

I just moved my 14-year old beater maxima to street parking(no trees) so I could give the bimmer enough space. My driveway is as long as the OPs however I am worried that the high winds might cause the gate to swing towards her at full speed. Might stop by home depot tomorrow to pickup some heavy duty chains properly keep the gates closed.
BTW- I've got the poles that stick into the ground on my gate as well but during that crazy wind/tornado storm last year they blew wide open. |

I own the form fit car cover by BMW and I did pay $200 something which is expensive, but the product is fantastic, I love it.

Can never be too safe! This one could be a doozy.
Our annual vacation was supposed to start on Sunday in the Outer Banks. Well, so much for that. Such a bummer. |

Man... im thinking about just wrapping some garbage bags around the car tomorrow before it hits brooklyn. This sucks =/ anybody else got any other ways of keeping their cars from getting chipped? Btw I dont have a garage but just a open backyard. I plan on just removing all the garbage cans and the small little things that can fly.
