Cool Lowered suspension

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new so I was wondering if someone can me decide on the right suspension setup for my 08 335xi e92.

From what I've learned through is that the best economic choice for obtaining a decent ride height + near to stock ride comfort is H&R springs + Bilstein shocks.

Is this true? what other options are out there? my car is a DD and I'm not looking for an aggressive setup.

Thanks.

This is true if you are looking for the cheapest possible setup where you dont sacrifice ride-comfort. Outside of this, look towards coil-overs.

H&R Coil-overs (plug/tweak/play)
KW v1 (plug/tweak/play)
KW v3 (plug/tweak/tweak/tweak/play)
AST Coil-overs (Some modifications needed for install)

I have AST 4100's and did not have to make any modifications to make these fit!

I just installed a set of H&R Sport springs and used the stock struts.I ordered springs for an "328i" because it helped lower the front more. I like the way the car rides and I find it fine.. In time I will upgrade to an aftermarket strut. Did it myself in the driveway took two hours front and rear.

I thought you guys had to modify the bump-stops , etc. I also thought most swapped to the M3 front-sway bar because the top adjustment knob on the AST got in the way.

Nope no such issues..hpashop.com sells the set up for xi models with the correct bumpstops..I belive you mean the front strut brace which sits up top not the sway which is under the car..no need to use the M3 front strut braces..but it is a very good mod to do as well.

When I installed my AST4100's I had to cut the bump stops. It was a 5 minute job with a hack saw. You could shim the front sway bar with washers to raise it but I decided to go with the M3 front-sway bar. I would not consider either of these things a big mod to make these work. I love the ability to have the flexibility to raise or lower the car!

I am just waiting for my humble KW v1s to come back from CA.
Feels like an entirely different car without my coils...

Love my KW v1. Fairly cheap and the handling is great. I've adjusted ride height once already to avoid scraping which is a nice option.

Cool. Are you happy with the ride comfort of v1s? Are they near stock comfort?

The UUC Tuned Spring Set is designed to work with the car's original equipment (OE) shocks and struts. It helps in lowering of ride height and better control of body roll from suspension compression.
