Hey guys, long story short... my moms CEL light came on in her 335.
Car would run rough, if I shut it down and power it back up.. It is fine, but CEL still remains.


Took it to two different places, one shop said it was coils, BMW said it is carbon build-up.

Shop 1 swapped the coils around or something of that nature, problem came back.

So I did noticed something, after i took it to bmw I ran the car with a half tank of gas WITH NO ISSUE, NO LIGHTS, NO RUNNING rough. So i figured everytime I was on E, i'll fill up to half tank. I did this for about 4 times, WITHOUT ISSUE.

So to finalize my theory, yesterday I said hell with it, i filled the tank up, and the CEL came back on, along with it running rough.

Called back BMW and SA said he will "do some research"
Car is out of warranty, and i'd like an answer before we start throwing money away like we already have...
