COBB V3.00, cause transmission malfunction
First of all, I just want to point out the issues I encountered. It may be just single case.
I updated the v300 stage1 93 map a while ago. Then I went on track. Whenever I pushed the car hard at the corner, or on the straight, this map will cause transmission failure. I mean it's not once, it's multiple times! It almost killed my transmission.. I tried to uninstall cobb then went back on track, no issue at all.. That means the v3.00 map cause this issue right? I don't have this problem when I was running v201 or v203 map. But I have encountered "engine malfunction" with the v203 map on the track(however, it didn't actually reduce power, just the sign) BTW, can anyone tell me where I can find the old V203 map and flash it back? much appreciated. |

This same thing happened to me a couple times on v2.03 93 octane during some spirited street driving.
Happened when I traveling about 50-60 mph and tried to accelerate. Both times, I pulled over, shut car off and restarted. All was good after that, but still a mystery why it happened. |

You can always download any calibrations from the Cobb website...suggestion on BETA maps is to contact Cobb through either email or phone, they're available...
some vendors have really strict rules about beta releases and would disown you if you posted something like this on their beta map lol just load a previous final release and work with Cobb to solve the issue that's IF this really is tune related.. |

Keep one important thing in mind though: if you want to go back to 2.03 or earlier maps you MUST downgrade your AP firmware. I also recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the flash from your ECU.
Cobb specifically said that running 2.03 or earlier maps on 3.0 beta firmware will produced undesired effecs.

FWIW I hadn't experienced this issue on any of the older cobb maps. Haven't ran the accessport since the newest firmware :/

I just had issues today on the new BETA 3.00 maps. My car threw a fuel pump code and internal DME error: something to do with actual torque. First time my car has ever thrown either of these two codes. Not feeling too good right about now. The results of throwing these codes was pretty traumatic engine quivering. Not at all confidence-inspiring!

Lol ppl do you realize these are "BETA" right? Run an official release if you don't want/anticipate any issues or talk to Cobb...why some of you guys think board members can help with a beta Cobb tune is beyond me really

taking your AT to the track is asking for trouble. the torque converter overheats faster than your engine. no oil cooler or inter-cooler will help your transmission.
if you are serious about tracking your car, switch to MT.
