HFPF/Spark Plugs??
Background
30k 09 335xi Vish v5, 7/xx maps ets ic bmw intake. Since I've upgraded to the 7/xx autotune maps, I'm having some issues with high rpm runs. The car runs pretty flawless if I get on it and shift at anything under 5k rpms. For the past 2 weeks, if I get on it and try running the car to redline, right at shift whether 1-2, or 2-3 and so on. The car completely bogs down and feels like its gonna send me through the windshield with how much the car decels at the shift. Now I'm not sure if this is a tune problem, I've tried reloading the firmware and maps to no avail. I've also been having a rough idle where the car stays at 600rpms but it sounds like its a light revving while stationary and the car shakes a little. Anyone have any inside I would greatly appreciate the help. And yes I know I have a warranty, but I like knowing what I'm getting into before I call service. Thanks |

Try to see if there's any codes using the laptop. If there isn't, then probably try to change the plugs since it's the cheapest way to see if the problem is fixed. If that doesn't work, then move onto other things like coils, injectors and HPFP....
