Procede v5 (rev 3) install problem

I had a fellow forum member install my procede v5 rev 3 in my car( first time) and it threw many codes and the rpm gauge was jumping up and down and went into limp mode when I tried to drive it.
This guy installed it perfectly since he has installed many tunes on many cars
I put it back to stock and it runs fine but has a engine symbol probably because theres codes on there.
Any ideas what went wrong?
Im goimg to call vishnu, but theyre closed now and I was qondering if anyone has experienced this before and how did you fix it?

reset adaptations, cycle ignition power, start car again. Sounds like a throttle adaptation issue.

Did you double check to see if all the pins(male) are plugged into their according female counterparts? Make sure that two pins didn't go into one hole.....

That happened to me once, and my car did exactly what you described......

How? Once installed? The procede was not functioning because i could not access the command center.

if the procede itself isn't functioning, then it's gotta be an install error or a faulty unit. I'd try to reinstall it going slowly and if the issue is replicated after full troubleshooting with Vishnu, perhaps it's a bad box/harness.

We installed it double checked everything and it didnt work.
Took it out and car was fine.
Put it back in and issue repeats itself.
I even disconnected the battery before starting the car so i could reset everything the second time.

Something must have not been installed right.....Not to doubt the installer. But you said the car started fine after reverting back to stock, no?

So that eliminates the 'car' and any of its parts as being the culprit.....

I thought I had installed my procede right also when that happened. It wasn't until i slowly pulled the sub-connectors apart that I saw the two pins next to each other was doubled up in one hole......

This is weird...

What do you mean by two pins were doubled up?
We checked the colors and arrow directions
Also obly had 1 arrow on each side when connecting the procede male to bmw female.

I'm having issues with my rev 3 also, I can't get it to work with my idc meth kit and couldn't get much help yet so I ended up pulling it out and putting my jb4 back in for now. The other problem was that I could not get the cruise control lever to actually work right. I hope you get help and they figure it out for you, I think there may be a few bugs to work out then the rev 3 will be really awsome.

Sometimes the pins aren't perfectly straight. Given the tight tolerances between the receptacles, if the pins are just a bit crooked to either side, when plugging the small sub-connectors on the harness, the pins might go into the wrong receptacle.......Does that make sense?

I'm talking about the small sub-connectors on the harness, not the bigger ones that goes into the actual DME....

I have yet to hook up a Procede to an HFS3. In other words, the Procede is designed to drive the solenoid and read the flow sensor directly. Not with another device in the middle. I'm sure it can be worked out but it's something that I will have to sort out with Jeff Howerton.

As for the cruise control stalk, you need to pull it back two clicks and hold it there for 2 seconds for the command center to go active.

I have exactly the same problem.

At valet mode the car runs perfectly. When I switch to map 1 I hear a wastegate click every 5-10 seconds and when that happens, the boost gauge jumps at 10 psi for a fraction of time. That's when idling.

When I drive the car at valet mode everything looks OK. When switching to map 1 I hear a boom sound from the exhaust, something like a fuel cut. When pressing the throttle it accelerates until 3500 rpm and then the engine stalls with a limp mode. I get reduced power, flat tire (lol), dsc malfunction and handbrake yellow light (6MT car). I turn off the engine and the car will eventually reset.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I get limp mode, the CEL lights up 7 times.

I was waiting my rev. 3 with anxiety and now I'm pretty disappointed.

Hopefully, Shiv responded to all my mails and I hope he is close to finding a solution to that.

Yesterday I tried resetting adaltions which did not work since I could go into command center.
Today I will be re uploading firmware and maos and see how it goes.
But if yoir worried about getting the rev 3 just ask robert to test it out before sending it. Im sure its not a common problem ratber just a small issue thaf happened to mine.

My PROcede works just fine with the HFS-3, and has been working well for a very long time. Like any other meth kit, it will attach to the PROcedes 0-5v signal wire, just don't use the PWM function of the PROcede No doubt this is this is an install error, either you installed a wire incorrectly or the maps are loaded wrong.

I don't think your procede is controlling the meth flow, thats why yours is hooked up to the hsf-3 box, correct? I know that you have it hooked up to still log meth flow.

A lot of people are running v3 with no issues (including me). I could be wrong but these issues seem to be by new users. I have a feeling it may be user install error also.

Personally I'm a 2-year old user since the first rev. 2s came up and since V2.

From my communication with Shiv, this is related to the software. This guy is serious, he is was working on Saturday for me (and of course for the other users that experienced similar issues). I hope this will be resolved very soon
