Back and Fourth and (Back Again)

Its hard to believe but I started this little trip with my 2010 335i coupe (E92) in June of 2010. It was Le Mans Blue with light gray interior and I enjoyed it for nine months. I decided to get something more fun. So I unloaded it and got into a 2011 Z4 35i. It was nicely loaded including the seven speed dual clutch automatic trany but what the car lacked was the sport package.

I gave the car a chance because of the incredible deal on it. Because it was a factory demo, I got the car on a two year lease for less than $500 per month with 12K miles per year and no cap reduction.

I immediately got the standard seat re-stuffed with better padding and went on my way. Well after being in BMWs for the last 10 years all with sport packages and those wonderful sport seats, I got the Z. That was a mistake. Not the Z itself but not getting one with a sport package.

So, two nights ago, I went to my local dealer and wanted to drive the M3. Loved it, wanted it, almost got it but then came the sticker shock of the monthly (between $950-$990 with tax 3 years,36K). If I brought that home, my wife would hand me my head on a silver platter.

So what to do, I ended up back in a 335i coupe, back again from where I started. This time, though, I made out better because I got more options at a lesser price and less money for total drive off.

So, the E92 is like this:

Space Gray
Black Interior
M Sport Package
Premium Package
Navigation
Harmon Karden
19" Wheels
Heated Seats
Automatic (wife's ruling)
BMW Aps (no iPhone yet)

I will take better pics this weekend and then replace the ones above but I didn't want to leave this thread without pics.

an E90 is a sedan, and an E92 is a coupe. Specifically. The terms aren't interchangeable.

Pennies on the floor mats. Agreed but I had to wait for the floor mats to be delivered which was today. I will take some new pics this weekend and replace the ones above. Also, my bad with E90. I made the changes to E92. I looked in Roundel magazine on line and I missed it. Sorry and thanks for the correction.

Looks fantastic... though I am curious as to why the cluster lights look white (or is that just the flash?)

No flash was used because it was daytime. The lights are white by design.

Car looks great man ... nice pickup and congrats!

The sport package is worth every penny. I test drove an E92 without one, didn't like the seats or steering wheel.
