Convertible Top Lights

I just picked up my 2011 328i Convert like 3 days ago. I noticed when lowering or raising the top nothing indicates either. After examining the button more, I noticed in front of it there is like 2 what look like lights side by side, shaped kind-of like = =

Let me know if there is a setting I need to change or where I need to look for the info. I assume there would be something indicating the top has lowered or is finished being raised.

There should be two lights near the switch, a green one that illuminates when the top is in motion, and a red one when there is an error. It sounds like yours are disconnected.

+1 2 led's green when all is good and the top is moving, red if something is wrong (like the cargo cover is not in place!) Sounds like your first warranty repair is due!

Do these lights only go on at night?

Does sound like I need to go to the dealership.

led wire might be disconnected, go to the dealer, clips are very weak if u pull them too hard they will snap and u will have plastic rattle forever

I think the others have given you all the info you need. Just want to note that the lights only work when you are operating (or trying to operate) the top.

Congrats on the car! Good taste too.... looks like we have very similar cars.

I noticed that the light did go on today (maybe I wasn't paying attention before) - new car syndrome. Thanks guys for the info though.
