Auto lock with key inside car
Question.
Today I set my e92 to auto lock if no door is opened for a short time. Will it automatically lock if the key is left just sitting inside the car (or in the ignition)? For example, if I place my key on the passenger seat and leave it there by mistake, then exit the car....will it still lock itself? I only have 1 key so I'm concerned, but I want this feature active. No, that function is when you lock it first then you unlock and no door opens then it locks. But if you don't lock it to begin with it wouldn't.

only works with comfort access. otherwise the car has no way of knowing where the key is.
