Help with AA BOV
Earlier today as I was driving home I wanted to have some fun with the car, so I pressed the accelerator and was on my way, but when I let off I didn't hear my bov go off and the car just didn't sound right. I pulled over and popped my hood. Everything looked fine, I gave the car some gas and the bov didn't go off, it was just shooting out air. Drove the car home, and pulled the bov off, took it apart, cleaned everything and put it back on and still no sound. When the car turns off the valve closes and when the car is on it opens but it doesn't open and close under boost. Tried calling Active earlier but they were closed, anybody have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks in advance guys!

How much boost are you running with the JB4?
Either you need to adjust the BOV spring or you somehow tore the rubber elbow tube that connects the charge pipe

When you go WOT, is the BOV still shooting out air? Like a hissing sound?
If so, the diaphragm is shot..... How long have you had the BOV? Was it new or second hand?

Yes thats it, I've had it about a whole 15days, 10 with it actually being on the car. I bought it used off a local member on here.

The diaphragm is shot.....I had an AA BOV and that happened to me.....I wasn't able to hold but maybe 11-12 psi with a FBO car tuned with Procede. Spoke to AA personally, and that's what they told me.
You can either get another horn from AA, for like $250 or something, or go with something else. For myself, I just went with the Stett CP with Forge DVs and meth bungs instead..... It's up to you....

So this didn't happen when you first put on the BOV, right? Because if so, I'd go hunt down the seller and ask him what's up, because obviously, he's sold you a F'd up BOV.....and that's F'd up.

No worries....My BOV went out the day AFTER I got my Vanguard exhaust.....All was fine before that too.....So IDK, I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.....
Ha, didn't see that you're in Miami. That makes things a little easier. GL!

Went to active today and they replaced the diaphragm came home to put it back on the car and still the same thing. When the car is off the valve is closed, and when the car is turned on (both idle and under load) the valve remains open. I called active, but by the time I called they were closed. I thought somehow it might be a boost problem with the jb4, I didnt have a CEL, but I did go ahead and clear all the codes and I also put it on map 0 to see if it was the amount of psi, but nothing, the valve is still open. Any idea what could be wrong???

It's suppose to be blowing out air when idling....but NOT under load

Yes, both the clamp on the IC piping and c clamp are tight

It blows out air constantly. From idle to when I push down the accelerator the valve doesn't close to hold boost.

I had the same problem with my BOV, check the vacuum line, the throttle body sensor plug, and make sure that when you install it that the end that locks onto the throttle body goes on FIRST and then put the flexible part on last then tighten everything after its all in place.

Sorry guys, I just got internet in my new place, but I wound up finding out what was wrong and boy do I feel dumb, lol. Somehow the O-ring on the inside of the bov on the throttle bottle connection ripped and it was leaking the boost out of there. Put a new o-ring on and were good to go. Thanks again for the help fellas!
