Please provide some feedback...

Guys, i posted up a thread in the general forum, but i'm not really getting the answers I was hoping for. Most of my concern is with my intended performance mods and if the money spent will be worth the return in performance, or if my money is better spend elsewhere.

can you guys chime in on this thread:

answer here, answer there... it does not matter to me, but i do want to pull the plug on my stuff soon. any constructive suggestions are welcome

I'd stay with COBB, they're suppose to release the Stg2 supposedly by the end of fall.....

Aside from that, I'd scratch the AFE Stg2 sealed intake, and go with the Stett CAI, it's about half the price and does the same shit.....Then use that other half you saved for other things....Like meth.

http://www.**********s.com/aFe-Stage...35i-Z4-35i.htm

this was the intake i was considering... since price is about the same, is there really an advantage to have a cold air over a forced air intake... i would suspect that the intake temp would be about the same, and I honestly think that this one looks a bit better than the stett offering...

any thoughts on that?

also, questions on having cobb stage 1 with intake, fmic, downpipes, exhaust... is that going to be a problem until stage 2 comes out, or does all this mean that the cobb and associated will make more power but without any reliability issues?

LOL, my bad, thought that was the other AFE sealed intake that cost around $1000. You know the one that utilizes the air ducts from the kidney grills.....

But IMO, I think that CAI still might have a bit advantage over those AFE's, as the AFE's still sits on top of the manifold and next to the engine......Just my .02

Everything looks good. I just installed the Stett CAI with the ER FMIC and am extremely pleased with how everything is performing. With my Cobb AP and the latest firmware, the car is running great.

I really like where Stett puts the intake as there's no chance of pulling in hot engine air.
