I understand this whole "thanks for not making a smart ass remark" thing, and this isn't intended to be a smart ass remark, but if you "know" that if they delivery saturday's then you are getting your rims tomorrow, it's reasonable to assume that you have a tracking number... which can then be input on their website to tell you the delivery date. If it's going to be delivered tomorrow, they will say it explicitly. I've had Fedex Home packages delivered on Saturdays and it said so accordingly through my tracking information.

I love this forum because it's such an escape from reality (I just envisioned someone who couldn't track a package, and lots of people rushing to assist and reassure), the questions, the answers, the remarks, just a pleasant state of oblivion! The US debt got downgraded, the markets had a couple days of getting pummeled, Verizon went on strike, USPS wants to lay off 120,000 workers. None of this remotely affects the BMW community. Let's keep it that way!

I work for Fedex canada and there is a Saturday sur-charge up here and I believe there migght be one in The USA as well, It's usually in the price quoted but you need to specifically ask for Saturday deliver or else it will be delivered Monday.

FedEx even offers FedEx same day but you need to call for a quote. I could ship a 5lb package today from Tucson and have it delivered 8AM Monday for $105.57. Or I could have it delivered in 3 business days for $12.75. If you need something there bad enough, you can get it there. Even the airlines have cargo shipping options. http://www.unitedcargo.com/ If you have a JIT (just in time) manufacturing plant, you sometimes need to get a part NOW in order to keep your assembly line operating. |

wait amimute all you fellow amercans...
hi! I just want to tell all bmw forum members
and rest of people in U.S Why would use either FED EX or UPS when there is a U.S.P.S that's right, POST OFFICES. would't you rather patronize Post Office to send your shippment or receive any kind of necessary documents through them? I would. Just to support a company which has over 100 years of business and it is also symbol of our nation. |
