Got the shudder and reduced power but....
So today on the way home I flogged my 335 down the on ramp in 1st and 2md gear up to about 65 until I caught the cars in front of me. Butter smooth revs as usual with plenty of pull. I am riding for a 5 miles on the interstate in 6th when a truck in front of me slows to roughly 45. So I drop to 3rd, and he moves over in under 15 seconds. So resume flogging I think, as soon as I hammer down it loses power, coughs, and shutters. Engine malfunction light comes on and reduced power disclaimer. So I say to my self, damn only had it for 2k miles and already time for a HPFP. I still have about 8 miles to the house and figure hell I will drive it, it is under the original full warranty so if I kill it they fix it. With 3 miles left to go it stops shaking and becomes smooth as butter again. Did a 2nd and 3rd gear pull with the lights all on and she is running fine. So I pull over, shutdown and restart. All lights off up start up and she is like new. Flogged it for the last 2 miles with no issues.
Got home, plugged in the COBB and got codes saying, 1. Misfire CYL 2 2. Misfire CYL 3 3. Plausible HPFP 4. Lambra? or something sensor behind cat 5. And the usual 2 Cobb ones for having it hooked up Does this sounds like classic HPFP? I have a scheduled service for Tuesday anyway so I figure I will tell them. But once I load the factory tune all this will be gone. So do I tell them about it? What would you do? Sorry for the novel! Ohh and some people say they do not care when this happens because the car is so much fun to drive, well I agree! |

#4 would be lambda....and those are your O2 sensors.
Sounds like your HPFP just had a hiccup. Maybe lose of pressure.....how full was your tank? They are all related btw. If it happens again...dealer time. :/ |

Not the HPFP. They don't hiccup when they fail they fail. Most likely something in the fuel line or you coughed up some junk flogging it..
