meth injection noise?
STETT charge pipe popped off the throttle body AGAIN tonight after running a blown E90 M3. only the third time. no boost, 30FF code, all the same crap. fixed it (AGAIN) and now when my meth is injecting, there is a louder noise than before. sounds like a trains brakes almost? squeeky and consistent. I heard the same noise before this incident, but don't remember it being as loud? I'll try to take a video tomorrow and post it, but hard to go WOT and hold a camera . CMGS says meth flow is normal, as does JB4 hijacked gauge on my gas. just weird timing.... any ideas? or maybe this is normal? trunk mounted coolingmist kit with solonoid..

The only think you could possibly hear with a meth kit is the pump itself. It will make a rumbling noise when activated. And you will only really hear it if its mounted in the trunk AND if you have your rear seats folded down. Besides that, there shouldn't be anything that would be audible.

The only noise I hear when meth is injected is the exhaust noise changes a little to a more deep tone...

consensus seems to be boost leak then. seats are up, pump is mounted under my trunk it that storage compartment... has to be from that stupid charge pipe.. noise got louder when i fixed it after it popped off so that makes sense. guess ill pull the car apart today and see what I can do...thanks guys! matt you around at all this week?

UPDATE: thanks guys. was absolutely a boost leak from the MFing charge pipe. disassembled everything (cowl, intakes, diverters, chargepipe) and reseated everything. noise is GONE during meth injection, and boost is hitting target more accurately on WOT. I must have had this leak for a LONG time because I haven't touched my charge pipe, and when I looked at it last (when I first heard the noise) it seemed to be clamped solidly. thanks Shiv, Matt, and Tom. really appreciate the help!
