ETS 135i / 335i Prototype Intake Video

Let me know what you guys think. The final version will be cast one piece tubes, We are going to provide a scoop for the front of the car and a ducting system to feed the intakes. These are prototype and hand welded. So don't judge me too hard haha.

Thanks!

Michael

Whats the advantage over the basic DCI? Seems a lot of bends and curves.

Even though I must say it looks cool.

Very nice. I look forward to seeing the ducting/scoops on the finished product.

The radius is in 3.0" so it's plenty big enough for the rest of the 2.5" piping

Doesn't look like they'll be any better than DCI

Perhaps, but it definitely looks better. If if it's not ridiculously priced, I might go this route instead of buying new filters.

We may have to get shiv's input on it. There is a lot of room under the intakes, but to be honest, i'm not 100% sure. We work really close with the Vishnu group and we will be sending down a set once they are finalized to make sure.

Seems like they would definitely fit with the pwm meth kit. If not then i'm almost positive they would fit if they incorporated the same filters the vishnu dci uses.

I expect that there will be a lot of well designed scoops, air ductings and heat shields included with this intake. Otherwise I really can't see any benefits with this intake compared to a simple DCI setup...

Another note, it seems that you'll have to modify the brake booster piping to be able to fit this intake:

Yup, it's super easy to do. We supply everything needed. It allows for the larger filters. You got a good eye sir

Frankly, I'm not sure that your filters will induce such a noticeable increased filter area...
The DCI's do have a quite good filter area due to the huge outside diameter and that extra concave filter element:
